Chapter 15

If you choose to do so, please post about the chapter here.

These optional posts are a way to participate if you feel less inclined to do so in class. Each post should be no less than 200 words and should reflect some sort of critical thought about the chapter, expanding on the ideas presented in the text, as opposed to simply summarizing various points.

This section discussed the process of revising our works in class and how that process works. This was something very central to our class as we used peer review and teacher review to fix the problems found within our essays for both project 1 and project 2. Peer review was an act that allowed our classmates to judge their own thoughts on our papers and some were helpful while some responses seemed to be flawed. For instance, one of my classmates instructed me to use justified text for a research paper, which is incorrect in MLA format. She might not have been using MLA format in her paper as we were given wiggle room, but I made sure to look this up before writing my essay. Peer review seemed to be very helpful in some instances where I forgot certain things such as commas or sentence structure flaws. Teacher review on the other hand was incredibly helpful because we were instructed different things to fix the flaws in our essay and get the desired grade. This also allowed us as a class to ask different questions about the class after the review in case we were concerned about a certain part of the class, such as participation for instance. Overall the entire process of revisions with other was very helpful to my paper because it provided different perspectives and a diversity of information.
