Chapter 13
If you choose to do so, please post about the chapter here.
These optional posts are a way to participate if you feel less inclined to do so in class. Each post should be no less than 200 words and should reflect some sort of critical thought about the chapter, expanding on the ideas presented in the text, as opposed to simply summarizing various points.

This chapter discussed the different methods and importance about integrating different texts and information into the researcher’s writing. This is because when integrating the writing, we use different formats depending on the preference of the college or professor/instructors request for how it is presented. MLA and APA format are different as in the intext citations and in our essays, we were required to use MLA format in our research papers. Hence, the process of writing is regimented in strict ways to guide the reader on how to write their paper. This organization is very effective in how it makes reading a paper and citing the sources very simple for both the reader and the writer. When my classmates and I began writing our papers, I was relieved when I learned our ability to do to the paper was more relaxed, because MLA format can often be confusing when citing different sources. MLA is very strict and citing one wrong could possibly result in an act of plagiarism. The process of quoting from sources was particularly interesting because in class I learned how to quote it smoothly through the process of paraphrasing the information I learn from the academic texts.
